It is possible to spend an enormous amount of time, and a great deal of money chasing the sublime. And more often than not, even highly rated, very expensive meals will impress, and taste great, but elude the transcendent. Not this one. From start to finish, amuse to dessert wine, the chef and staff delivered one of the most exquisite meals of my life. The oyster, the lobster flower and the “gift from the chef” will endure on my list of most exquisite things. This is the best sort of food and the best sort of place–casual, warm, fun, lively and utterly delicious. It is a wonderful journey well worth making.
